Alma represents the love for unique, handmade ceramics and interior design. Teresa, the creative mind behind it, incorporates her passion for design, travel and traditional Portuguese craftsmanship into every detail.
The Creation of Alma
Teresa is the creative mind behind Alma. Her passion for interior design and interior design has accompanied her for many years, both professionally and privately. When she is not busy remodeling her apartment and tracking down new interior trends, she loves to travel. Her favorite place, of course, is Portugal, which has become almost her second home over the years. Not least because one of her best friends lives there and they both share a love of good food, Vinho Verde and the rocky beaches on the Atlantic coast.
Our Growing Team
During one of her trips, she became aware of the special tableware and "imported" the first pieces to Berlin in her backpack, wrapped in a sandy beach towel.
Together with a friend, the idea for Alma developed - of course also during a trip to Portugal.
Alma has grown steadily since then, and our dedicated team is the key to this success. We advise our customers in our stores every day with passion and know-how. Together we share the vision of offering handmade ceramics from Portugal at fair prices and conveying the special attitude to life that these works of art convey.
Craftsmanship in the heart of Berlin
The two of them were quickly enthusiastic about the idea of offering the beautiful, unique pieces in the Portuguese tradition at fair prices per kilo in Berlin, and a short time later they were standing in their first Alma Pop Up Store. This is how the story of Alma began. There is now a real, small Alma team that supports the two of them in the shops every day and is there for you.
